Montevideo Urban Sanitation Program (PSU V)

The objective of the conditional credit line for investment projects (CCLIP) is to support the
Municipal Government of Montevideo (IMM) in its efforts to improve living conditions in the department of Montevideo. The
objective of this second operation under the CCLIP will be to expand the coverage of sanitary sewer and storm drainage systems,
as well as the volume of properly disposed wastewater, and improve the management of municipal sanitation services in
Montevideo. Specifically, it will expand sanitation coverage, reduce storm drainage problems, diminish pollution in the Bay of
Montevideo, enhance efficiency in the collection of sewer fees, and increase the connection rate to the system.
