Building the Regulatory Regime for the Development of Utility Scale Renewable Energy Generation

To advance Trinidad and Tobago's (T&T) sustainable development path by providing support for development of a licensing framework for the introduction of Renewable Energy (RE) in the electricity generation matrix. Specifically, the TC will assist in the development of a draft RE Licence document and a legal review of the Regulated Industries Commission (RIC) Act for the development of utility scale RE projects interconnected to the national electricity grid. Additionally, the TC will provide technical support to the RIC and selected Government stakeholders to add technical capacity for the development of RE sourced generation, including RE projects evaluation and sector management best practices.
