Port Sector Modernization

The objective is to assist the GOB in the reform of the port sector, restructuring the BPA as a regulatory agency, transferring to the private sector the operation and improvement of the fixed installation at BCP and Commerce Bight, creating the environment for increasing private investment in the sector and liberlizing the conditions under wich private installation operate. The direct beneficiaries willbe importers and exporters through them, the Belizian economy. The growth of cruise ship tourism will produce both revenue and an additional source of employment
