Environmental Assessment Santa Cruz-Puerto Suarez Corridor

· To conceive a strategy for governmental and Bank actions aimed at developing an adequate environmental management approach to address all the indirect, long term and cumulative potential social-environmental impacts of the infrastrucutre projects. · Demonstrate to civil society the awareness of the major social-environmental issues involved in the project, and the commitments of the Bolivian government and IDB to address them in an adequate and timely fashion, ensuring the informed participation of civil society in all stages of project preparation and execution. · Begin the process of organizational strengthening and actions necessary to address the environmental and social constraints.
