Youth Training in Cultural Preservation
This program has been conceived as part of the renovation of the port district of the Rio de Janeiro and it counts with the support of the Municipal government of the city of Rio de Janeiro. The main objective of this operation is to provide training for young people, targetting particularly young women, in order to improve their employment opportunities and income levels in activities such as tourist guides and art work preservation. The Municipality of Rio de Janeiro, using its own financial resources, is currently building the appropriate facilities for the training sessions. The NGO "Asociación de Amigos del Consejo" will be responsible for the execution of the program. The funding of the proposed TC operation will be used for the design of the program, while the training courses will be financed by the municipal government since this is a priority for the city.
