Integration and Small Enterprises Development

This Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) project promotes the development of small businesses and start-up companies in the Tijuana-San Diego area that supply components for the in-bond assembly industry and/or for export, in the context of regional development through cross-border integration of Baja California in Mexico and California in the United States. The three components are: (a) support for local development; (b) development of business services and assistance for start-up companies; and (c) investment financing facility for small businesses. The first two components provide technical assistance and the third carries out investment operations aimed at achieving more balanced development in the region.
