Entry of Women into Labor Market
This TC will support the Peruvian Government in the strengthening of the Women Program on Job Consolidation of the Ministry of Labor and Social Promotion. This program seeks to increase job opportunities for impoverished women in the marginal urban area of Lima Metropolitana, with the ultimate goal of improving their living conditions. The specific objectives are: (i) define the demand of skilled labor force services from private companies and the supply of services of the organized groups, through labor intermediation , subcontracting services and sales promotion, (ii) train women labor force according to the market demand, (iii) promote and disseminate the supply of skilled labor force services of the women groups to access the labor market, (iv) strengthen the institutional network of public and private agencies involve in the process; and (v) implement a comprehensive information system.
