The objectives of the conference are to identify issues that impact the sustainability of cultural institutions in the borrowing member countries, their collections, and the communities they serve; to exchange expertise and reasoned judgments on museum education and community outreach; to explore the use of technology for the protection and dissemination of cultural heritage; to develop calls to action to implement best practices and methodologies for community integration; and create a lasting network for professional training and hemispheric cultural cooperation.
