Subprogram one funds: (a) cofinancing of contracts for training activities identified in planning business projects to improve competitiveness; (b) promoting associations among businesses to permit joint contracting for training activities; (c) organizing a register of training institutions; and (d) cofinancing the planning, organization, and execution of distance-learning programs.
Subprogram two funds activities in the areas of technical assistance and competitive alliances. Technical assistance will focus on: (a) cofinancing contracts for technical assistance to develop and implement business projects to improve competitiveness; (b) promoting associations among businesses to permit joint contracting of technical assistance services; and (c) organizing a register of consultants. Competitive alliances will focus on cofinancing the formation and management of competitive alliances to pool capabilities and resources through joint business operations.
Subprogram three funds: (a) cofinancing contracts for the collection, organization, and distribution of information to subscribing users, with extensive use of the Internet and other multimedia tools; and (b) cofinancing a Web platform offering electronic mail, file transfer, news groups, online "chats," and "virtual" training. Other complementary activities will be funded, including: (a) promoting business awareness among participating retailers/ entrepreneurs through motivational campaigns; and (b) promoting awareness among service providers across the country.
