Support International Trade Negotiations

The general objective of this project is to help the country more effectively and extensively participate in the design and conduct of trade negotiations in regional and international trade forums by strengthening the technical and negotiating capacity of institutions responsible for foreign trade policy. The project has the following specific objectives: a. To train existing technical staff and develop new expertise for effectively conducting trade negotiations. b. To strengthen the mechanisms for internal coordination and dissemination of information in the private sector and in other sectors of society. c. To support the logistical development needed to ensure effective intergovernmental coordination and communication in the management of information generated by the negotiation processes.
