Highway Concession

The objective of this program is to support efforts by the Peruvian government to develop a concession system for the public works and to get the private sector involved in the provision, operation and maintenance of transportation infrastructure. It will also increase the technical and institutional capability of PROMCEPRI and the Ministry of Transportation, Communications, Housing and Construction to successfully phase in the concession program currently being designed by the government, culminating in the take over of sections of major highways by private enterprises under concession agreements.
