Equity Corporacion Financiera Ambiental
Corporacion Financiera Ambiental is an investment fund established to support small private companies in Central America that are dedicated to projects that benefit the environment. The environmental fund is managed by Empresas Ambientales de Centroamerica, Costa Rica. Investors include the Multilateral Investment Fund of the Inter-American Development Bank, the Swiss Government, Triodos Bank of the Netherlands and Citizens Energy. Corporacion Financiera Ambiental is registered in Panama, with its central office in Costa Rica. The Fund may offer debt, quasi-equity or common equity investments. Among the eligible sectors are: renewable energy, energy efficiency, pollution abatement, water treatment, sustainable land use and agriculture, recycling and nature tourism. The Fund will seek financial returns consistent with market rates.
