Natural Gas Regulatory Framework

The objectives of this project are to facilitate the Mexican government in the establishment of a regulatory framework for private investments in the natural gas subsector and to institutionally strengthen the Regulation of Energy Comission (CRE). The project will consist of four subcomponents: 1) preparation and implementation of gas sector regulations; 2) organization and implementation of a supervision and inspection system, 3) preparing and aiding the regulator of the energy sector and his personnel for new responsibilities and duties; and 4) developing easy access information systems with increased efficiency.
