Strategy and National Investment Plan in Sustainable Tourism
The principal objective of the project is to design a long-term vision and the strategic guidelines for a sustainable tourism development plan, based on a participatory, decentralized regional planning process involving various social actors, aimed ultimately at improving the quality of life of local citizens. The secondary objectives are to allow a) municipalities and regions with tourism development potential to receive support in defining local tourism development strategies, in developing related action planes and in searching for the means to carry them out; and b) the State, building on the results of the regional participatory processes, to define - together with municipalities, the private sector and civil society -- a National Sustainable Tourism Strategy.
