Accelerating Rural Energy Coverage in Panama
Develop a feasibility study for increasing rural energy coverage in Panama for both on and off grid clients, under the current institutional and property arrangements, regulation, procedures and methodologies employed by OER (Oficina de Electrificación Rural). The TC will help prepare the PN-0150 project loan for US$30 million to finance the corresponding rural electrification infrastructure. Final objectives include reducing rural poverty, environmental impact and increasing rural development, productivity and competitiveness.
