Payments for Environmental Services
The objectives are: (i) to support key lines of activities of the biodiversity regional strategy for the Andean Tropics; (ii) to identify, analyze, and propose effective mechanisms for sustainable forestry development, focusing on the creation of favorable conditions for domestic and foreign private investment; (iii) to develop and disseminate best cases and lessons learned associated with the application of economic and financial instruments and the valuation of environmental goods and services; and (iv) to contribute to the development of key biodiversity and forestry indicators.
