Technology and Distance Education in Latin America and Caribbean I
Promote the improvement in the quality of education in LAC, by developing distance education programs with the application of technology. The specific objectives are: (1) develo a distance education program for teachers, with the use of information technology. This is the origin of the Interamerican Teacher Training Program that was announced at the Summit of the Americas in Quebec, and (2) support initiatives that facilitate the use of distance education and information technology for the teaching of students in secondary schools in the areas of sciences and mathematics.
