Evaluation Implementation Subsidies Water & Sanitation Sector
To assist GOCin the design of an efficient system to target Subsidy Program for the Water and Sanitation Sector. Creating adequate incentives to water and sanitation companies to invest to insure an increase in coverage to lower income groups and to provide a rational system of subsidies to the poor. In particular the goal is to design a program of subsidies oriented more to the demand side, so that water and sanitation companies would have the economic incentive to expand coverage to levesl 1 and 2 e.i. the lower income groups, which at present lack adequate water and sanitation services.
