Punta Arenas Marine Park Support Study
Contribute to sustainable development in the coastal marine zone of Puntarenas and the Gulf of Nicoya by: (a) generating an understanding of its resource potential and a culture that promotes conservation and responsible resource use; (b) developing capacity for management and sustainable production of coastal marine resources by the Puntarenas community and surrounding areas; (c) Promoting national and international tourism based on recreational learning and appreciation of coastal marine resources that help make the marine park self-sustaining and reactivate the Puntarenas economy.
