Support for the Improvement of Air Transport in Suriname
The primary objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to support the implementation of the new program in the air transport sector (SU-L1071) by: (i) preparing all technical inputs necessary to reach total eligibility of the program as well as specific disbursement conditions for Components 2 and 3; (ii) enhance the operational efficiency practices at Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport (JAPI) in Suriname to ensure safety, reliability and sustainability in airport services and infrastructure; (iii) expand data collection for urban transport in Paramaribo; and (iv) collecting information required to complete the baseline for the operation for women travelling with children, as well as the perception of teachers travelling to the interior of the country and the overall perception of safety conditions at Zorg en Hoop airport.
