SU-T1054 : Support for Improving Disaster Risk Managt for Climate-Resilient Development
Project Status: Closed
The objective of this KCP is to provide support to the Government of Suriname to strengthen national and local capacity for integrated disaster risk management in the context of climate-resilient development. Specific objectives: (a) improve knowledge and understanding of climate-related disaster risk; (b) improve preparedness for flood events in the populated upper bank of the main rivers; and (c) facilitate a greater incorporation of hazard prevention and mitigation in development decision making.
