Energy Transition and Integration Program for Suriname

The general objective of this program is to strengthen energy security by reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels in Suriname's electricity sector. The Specific Development Objectives are to: (i) increase power transmission capacity; (ii) provide rural communities with clean and reliable access to electricity; and (iii) strengthen institutional capacity for planning transmission and generation resilient investment projects.
