Multidimensional Approach to Poverty and Welbeing: Measuring Quality of Life
The general objective of this TC is to improve the IDB's borrowing member countries ability to assess subjective dimensions of poverty and well-being, with an emphasis on quality of life (QL). Specific objectives of this project are: (i) to contribute to the identification of new challenges in social policy and mechanisms to transform institutions so that governments of the region could be more responsive to the needs of the poor, with Bank support.(ii) to coordinate with statistics agencies and existing survey programs so that the piloted methodology could be replicated and institutionalized.
