Regional Policy Training on Trade and Poverty
The overall objective of the project is to support, discuss and disseminate cutting edge research on the distributive impacts of trade integration amongst regional stakeholders, (i.e.: policy makers, civil society representatives, NGOs, etc.), comparing Latin America and the Caribbean with other regions of the developing world. Specific objectives are: (i) to contribute to strengthening the analytical base of trade policymaking with evidence needed to address related distributive issues; and (ii) explore further collaboration between the Bank and research institutions that may contribute to the development of a pro-poor trade agenda in the region.
