The objective of the project is to build knowledge regarding emerging gender issues and persistent areas of gender inequality in Latin America and the Caribbean to provide support to: (i) the revision and updating of the Bank's Women in Development Policy and the production of a Long-term Strategic Outlook on Gender Equality in Development and (ii) future Bank operations that address new challenges with regard to gender equality and women empowerment in the region.
