Support for Preparation & Consultation on Strategy & Policy on Indigenous Dev.
The general objective of this technical cooperation project is to support the preparation of a highly participatory and top quality Indigenous Development Strategy and Policy to guide the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in its activities related to indigenous people during the next decade. Technical cooperation resources would: (1) engage indigenous organizations and their representatives in a meaningful consultation process to ensure their direct input into the drafting of the strategy and its future implementation plan; and (2) provide technical expertise to review lessons learned from past experience with strategies and projects involving indigenous people by the IDB and other development institutions.
