RG-X1136 : Energy Efficiency Finance Facility

The projects financed under the proposed Facility will address impediments to energy efficiency retrofit projects such as: lack of information, technical or managerial expertise; high transaction costs for project identification, design and finance; lack of access to credit; project financial payback periods that are much longer than project loan tenors; and higher interest rates due to perceived energy efficient technology risks. The proposed program will address these barriers and capacity gaps. The investments will bring cost savings to the enterprises involved and helping to mitigate climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
