RG-X1107 : The Impact of Climate Change and Policy Options in CA and Dom.Rep.

The objective of the study is to assess the economic and social consequences of climate change and identify appropriate adaptation and mitigation measures in terms of sustainable development, social inclusion and the transition to a low carbon economy. The analysis will include analysis of vulnerable groups including low income farming or forest dweller communities in the region. Potential policy options and measures to be evaluated could include fiscal, institutional, educational and extension services, as well as monitoring and investment strategies to adapt to the anticipated impacts of climate change (mitigation would considered within the framework of sustainable development, although mitigation implications would be relevant in considering various policy options).
