RG-X1076 : South-South Cooperation in the Context of Aid Effectiveness

In March 2010, the Government of Colombia will host a High Level Event (the HLE) on South-South Cooperation (SSC) in the Context of Aid Effectiveness. The HLE is being organized under the authority of the DAC Working Party on Aid Effectiveness (WP-EFF). It will be the major opportunity for South countries to reflect on the aid effectiveness agenda in advance of the WP-EFF high level forum in Seoul in late 2011 (HLF4). In preparation for the HLE, the Government of Colombia has prepared a Concept Note (see Annex A) on SSC in the context of aid effectiveness. In order to finalize preparations for the HLE, Colombia must now embark on further analytical work and produce a Guidance Note and Technical Note. This work will allow Colombia to assist participants in the HLE in preparing approximately thirty case studies that will inform the HLE and the SSC discussions at HLF4.
