Strengthening Analytical Capacity for Trade and Productive Integration in Latin America and the Caribbean: A Regional Knowledge and Data Infrastructure Platform

The objective of this TC is to strengthen LAC's productive integration capacity by developing a regional analytical and institutional capability framework encompassing knowledge systems, data infrastructure, and evidence frameworks that reduce information, financing, regulatory, and institutional trade costs, thereby enabling more evidence-based integration policymaking, investment preparation, and South-South learning across the region. The specific Objectives are: 1) To develop regional analytical capabilities and intelligence systems for trade flows, services trade, foreign direct investment, value chains, and productive integration, enabling evidence-based identification of integration opportunities and constraints across LAC. 2) To strengthen regional data and analytical infrastructure for trade enablers, financial integration, logistics, and digital trade ecosystems, building the capacity required to diagnose financing and regulatory trade cost constraints and support investment facilitation. 3) To develop and institutionalize evaluation frameworks, operational learning frameworks, and institutional capacity mechanisms that improve the quality, accountability, and adaptive management of trade and productive integration interventions across LAC.
