Adaptive AI Readiness Scorecard for Latin America and the Caribbean

This TC seeks to strengthen the focus and quality of national artificial intelligence (AI) strategies in Latin America and the Caribbean by improving countries' capacity to diagnose their AI ecosystems, identify key market, institutional, and coordination constraints, and reduce knowledge gaps related to frontier AI technological trajectories, thereby enabling more evidence-based and forward-looking AI policies. The specific objectives are: (i) Generate a more accurate and context-sensitive diagnosis of national AI ecosystems; (ii) Identify specific market failures and institutional or coordination obstacles affecting key inputs for AI development and adoption; (iii) Reduce knowledge constraints related to frontier AI developments through continuous technical inputs to support informed policy design and prioritization.
