Public - Private engagement for the implementation of MERCOSUR-EU Agreement

The general objective of this Technical Cooperation is to support the implementation of the MERCOSUR–European Union Agreement by strengthening technical and institutional capacities in the public and private sectors of the States Parties, promoting awareness and understanding of its content and implications, and fostering effective coordination among government, business, and social actors. The specific objectives are: (i) to strengthen the technical and institutional capacities of public and private actors for the effective implementation of the MERCOSUR–European Union Agreement; (ii) to support the productive sector, with particular attention to SMEs, in identifying and leveraging the opportunities arising from the Agreement, including through strengthened public-private coordination and dialogue; (iii) to improve knowledge and understanding of the content, scope, and implications of the MERCOSUR–European Union Agreement among public officials, the private sector, and other key stakeholders; and (iv) to contribute to the availability and use of technical information and practical evidence to guide the design and coordination of public policies related to the implementation process of the Agreement.
