Support for regional integration initiatives under the Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor framework
Its general objective is to strengthen the regional planning, management and coordination capacities of the subnational governments of the Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor (CBC): the Tarapacá and Antofagasta Regions (Chile), the Provinces of Jujuy and Salta (Argentina), the Departments of Boquerón, Presidente Hayes and Alto Paraguay (Paraguay), and the State of Mato Grosso do Sul (Brazil). Developing the CBC is strategic to link the inland economies of the Southern Cone, increase intra-regional trade, open new markets for productive clusters, diversify economic activities, and connect isolated territories.
