Support to Public Policies for the Strengthening of Pension Systems in LAC (PLAC Network)

The objective of this TC is to generate and disseminate specialized knowledge and applied evidence to inform the design, implementation, and evaluation of pension reforms aimed at improving the sustainability, coverage, and equity of pension systems in Latin America and the Caribbean. The specific objectives are to: (i) generate comparative evidence to inform the design, implementation, and evaluation of pension policies and reforms aimed at strengthening sustainability, expanding coverage, improving benefit adequacy, and promoting greater equity in pension systems, with particular attention to informal workers, women, and other traditionally excluded groups; (ii) systematize experiences and lessons learned on governance, regulation, supervision, and institutional modernization to inform efforts to strengthen the capacities of the institutions responsible for pension systems across the region; and (iii) promote regional cooperation, the exchange of experiences, and peer learning to facilitate the dissemination of good practices in the design and management of pension systems across the region.
