GDLab: Gender and Diversity Knowledge Initiative

This Technical Cooperation (TC) will support the continuity and consolidation of the GDLab. Co-led by the Gender and Diversity Division of the Social Sector (SCL/GDI) and the Research Department and Chief Economist (RES/RES), GDLab is an applied research initiative on differences between men and women in access to economic opportunities, and on the inclusion of indigenous peoples, afrodescendants, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ persons. The TC has two specific objectives: (i) generate rigorous and policy-relevant evidence on priority development challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) through competitive research calls; and (ii) disseminate the resulting evidence to IDB Group operational teams, policymakers, and the academic community, to inform policy dialogue and the design of IDB Group operations.
