Private sector engagement to Strengthen Digital Skills for Productivity and Investment in Central America

Promote public–private collaboration to enhance talent readiness for the digital requirements of strategic industries, to increase productivity, attract investment, and enhance participation in global and regional value chains (GVCs/RVCs). Specifically, the TC aims to close the human capital gap by cultivating a resilient, digitally skilled talent pool—anchored in an industry-led, demand-driven training ecosystem—that seamlessly aligns with the rapid technological and structural needs of strategic industries in Central America, Panama, and the Dominican Republic (CAPDR) countries. By doing so, the TC seeks to accelerate domestic technology adoption, increase systemic productivity, attract targeted Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), deepen the region's integration into global and regional value chains (GVCs/RVCs), and expand inclusive, high-quality economic opportunities for youth and active workers.
