The general objective of this TC is to strengthen the regional disaster risk management (DRM) public policy and coordination framework in the Caribbean, thereby contributing to greater resilience across the region. The specific objectives of the TC are: to update and modernize the regional Model CDM Policy and Model DRM Legislation intended to guide national DRM public policy and legislative reforms; to strengthen regional frameworks for multi-hazard early warning systems; to enhance institutional capacity in DRM governance, policy analysis, and reform implementation; and to strengthen the Regional Response Mechanism and coordination platforms for disaster response and recovery.
