Regional Energy Planning: Strengthening Energy Integration in Central America

To enhance and strengthen regional energy planning and the integration agenda in Central America through SIEPAC. The specific objectives are: (i) to consolidate the national electricity market, promoting its efficiency, transparency, and competitiveness to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply; (ii) to strengthen the institutional framework of the electricity sector, consolidating regional entities and reinforcing their governance and coordination mechanisms; and (iii) to support the development and expansion of electrical infrastructure, both at the national and regional levels, to improve system integration and ensure service coverage and quality.
