Strengthening Food Security through Farm-to-School Value Chain Development in the Caribbean

The general objective of this operation is to contribute to food security and nutrition in Jamaica, Barbados and Belize by: (i) expanding and strengthening linkages between local agricultural producers public programs, particularly school meal programs; (ii) fostering food safety practices in farm-to-school supply chains; and (iii) promoting consumption of locally-sourced nutritious foods by children who receive school meals.
