Proposed Legal and Governance Framework for the Creation of the ACRS and the Development of an IT Tool for the Joint Evaluation of Medicines and Vaccines for SICA Member States

This project aims to lay the foundation for the establishment and operation of the Central American Sanitary Regulation Agency as the primary entity for harmonizing regulatory frameworks and strengthening access to safe, effective, and high-quality medicines and medical technologies. This will be achieved through the implementation of a regional governance model, standardized guidelines, and a digital tool for joint evaluation. It is expected that these measures will reduce duplication, accelerate approval processes, and enhance regulatory oversight among the countries.
