Strengthening Conservation Trust Funds (CTF) in Latin America and Caribbean (LAC), and Amazonia, to support conservation financial mechanisms
Strengthen the institutional capacity of new and existing RedLAC members –with particular activities in support of Amazonian Conservation Trust Fund (CTF) – in order to ensure an adequate governance structure for the use of the conservation resource by: (1) strengthening RedLAC's institutional capacity by supporting the Executive Secretariat in the management of the network; (2) assessing RedLAC members' capacity against the Practice Standards for CTFs ; and supporting the implementation of the recommendations for improvement derived from the assessments; as well as (3) providing capacity building activities for RedLAC members to meet international standard practices that allows them to implement innovative finance mechanisms.
