Promote and support the implementation of the Coordinated Border Management Model in Central America

The general objective is to support the implementation of actions outlined in the Central American Strategy for Trade Facilitation and Competitiveness (ECF CC-2023) with regard to the Coordinated Border Management (CBM) model, in order to improve controls, the clearance of goods, and the movement of people. Specifically, this Technical Cooperation (TC) aims to support three areas directly related to the CBM model: (i) contribute to the approval and implementation of the regional CBM model as a strategic instrument for the region; (ii) strengthen the technical capacities of the countries in implementing the ECF CC-2023; and (iii) create spaces to maintain and strengthen support for their trade facilitation and competitiveness agenda within the process of economic integration in Central America.
