Improving technology for transparency, data-driven decisions, and smart public services

The general objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to strengthen the institutional and technological capacities of Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) governments to increase transparency, prevent and control corruption, strengthen financial integrity, and improve the delivery of public services, both at the national and subnational levels. This will be achieved through the adoption of instruments and solutions that are part of the MapaInversiones1 and Knowledge for Results (K4R)2 initiatives, which serve as foundational pillars to promote strategic reforms in transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the delivery of public services. The specific objectives are: (i) to integrate, manage, and use public data in a transparent and traceable manner, through digital solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data visualization tools; (ii) to improve monitoring, evaluation, and financial integrity systems to support evidence-based decision-making and strengthen accountability; and (iii) to promote institutional innovation through the design and validation of scalable operating models focused on concrete results in the delivery of public services.
