Strengthening Competition Authorities in LAC

Strengthen the capacity of competition authorities in LAC to implement competition laws and policies and address illegal activity in a more efficient and collaborative manner, based on international best practices. The specific objectives are (i) to support efforts to conduct Peer Reviews of LAC countries with technical support from the OECD; (ii) to support the holding of the Annual LAC Competition Forum; (iii) to conduct reviews and proposals for the modernization of legal and regulatory frameworks; and (iv) to support capacity building for the implementation of competition laws.
