Accelerating the Climate Transition of Transport and Logistics in LAC within the framework of COP30
The overall objective of this technical cooperation is to support Latin American and Caribbean countries in accelerating the decarbonization of transport services and improving the resilience of infrastructure, advancing the new frontier of the sector's climate transition, aligned with climate commitments and the COP30 framework. The specific objectives are to support: (i) the definition of public policies and climate strategies for the transport sector aligned with the NDCs and COP30, (ii) the development of effective regulations for decarbonization and resilience in transport (road, air, river and maritime), and (iii) the structuring of a portfolio of climate investments in transport, including innovative financing models to scale up the sector's transition.
