Enhancing enabling conditions for Bioeconomy in Amazonia through sectoral nexus

Based on the progress of Amazonia Forever, the objective of this TC is to generate, capitalize and disseminate knowledge from Amazonia Forever to advance enabling conditions to foster bioeconomy in the region through a sectoral-nexus approach. The specific objectives are: (1) develop knowledge stocktaking products that allow to demonstrate results and impacts of the Amazonia Forever Program and its Bioeconomy pillar, as well as support regional dialogue and networks to strengthen south-south knowledge transfer, coordination and coherence; (2) strategic support for high-level dialogue for the generation of public policies on issues of common interest in Amazonia, with a focus on Bioeconomy and cross-sectorial interventions and integration of natural capital in decision-making both at the national and sub-national level; and (3) facilitation of actions for the coordinated mobilization of climate, biodiversity, bioeconomy and innovative finance opportunities for supporting means of implementation in Amazonian countries (i.e. activities that close the finance-impact gap).
