Strengthening the Risk Management of Forest Fires in the Andean Amazonia

The objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) operation is to promote efficient and sustainable management of forest fire risks in the Andean Amazon, adapted to the context of climate change. To achieve this, the aim is to strengthen institutional and local capacities, promote a preventive and anticipatory approach, and support the implementation of regional collaboration initiatives, especially in cross-border events. Additionally, the focus is on closing knowledge gaps and identifying opportunities to foster cooperation mechanisms such as the Amazonian Network for Forest Fire Management (RAMIF).
