Support to the implementation of program to strengthen water and sanitation regulators

The Lisbon International Centre for Water (LIS-Water) from Portugal has successfully supported the execution of a previous TC (RG-T3511) to implement regulatory strengthening activities in the LAC region through webinars and the development of tool kits and knowledge products for the water regulators of the region. A total of 16 training modules were produced with videos of all presentations and debates among regulators and experts in the sector. WSA would like to expand its agenda in regulation and continue this effort to strengthen water regulators with the support of Lis-Water. In that second phase of the program, a series of technical guides on regulation would be produced, exploring the large amount of material generated in the 1st phase. A WaterGovPlatform was established with restricted access to the LAC regulators, which could be improved with new tools targeted to support regulators.
