A Central American System for the recognition, validation and accreditation (RVA) of basic skills
The RPG proposes an instrument to operate the Regional Policy already formulated in the Central American region, taking into account national initiatives to ensure educational quality. The objective is to develop a Central American system of recognition, validation and accreditation (RVA) of basic skills. The specific objectives are: (i) Recognize the value of formal and informal learning; (ii) Develop a common understanding of RVA and outline the main considerations in the development of a regional RVA system; (iii) Develop tools, standards and mechanisms to identify, document, validate and recognize non-formal and informal learning outcomes; and (v) Create and pilot a joint digital-based Central American RVA platform.
