Promoting Institutional Capacity Building for the Mainstreaming of the Gender Perspective in Climate and Disaster Risk Management within the Framework of the CCF
The general objective is to strengthen the institutional capacity of public entities by mainstreaming the gender perspective in disaster risk management in Latin American and Caribbean countries. The specific objectives are: (i) to promote and support the integration of the gender perspective in contingent loans of the Contingent Credit Facility for Natural Disaster and Public Health Emergencies (CCF) to increase the institutional capacity of the countries for gender mainstreaming in comprehensive disaster risk management; and (ii) to develop a knowledge agenda focused on gender and natural disasters to promote institutional capacity building with evidence-based interventions.
